In celebration of the City of St. Augustine’s 450th Commemoration, the EMMA Concert Association will present Fiesta 450! on Sept. 6 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Tickets for EMMA presents Fiesta 450! are on sale now.

The six-hour all-Spanish-themed extravaganza will take place from 3 to 9 p.m., with free Spanish-themed performances from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and a ticketed evening performance of Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

“Fiesta 450! is the EMMA Concert Association’s gift to the community to celebrate Spain’s historical impact on St. Augustine and our nation through a rich, vibrant, collaborative performance by St. Augustine’s premier arts organizations and the Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre,” said Joanne Everett, Fiesta 450! Chair.

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre gates open at 3 p.m. and the event kick starts at 4 p.m. with a thrilling Spanish-themed musical salute to St. Augustine by the city’s premier cultural arts organizations including the St. Augustine Community Chorus, St. Augustine Youth Chorus, St. Augustine Orchestra, First Coast Opera and the Limelight Theatre. From 5:30 to 7 p.m., local historical and artistic groups including re-enactors Leo and Merri McCarthy and James Bullock (aka Francisco Menendez), will entertain and educate visitors.

This portion of the event is free to the public.

At 7:30 p.m., the Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre will take the main stage. The incredibly sensual and breathtaking Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre, the premier Spanish dance company in the United States, will thrill the audience with its specially choreographed performance for Fiesta 450! They will share the rich traditions of the dance, music, literature and culture of Spain in the classical, folkloric and flamenco styles. Ticket prices for the Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre performance range from $19 to $39. VIP tickets are $100.
