What started out as a small exhibition of Florida reptiles in 1893 has become one of the state’s quintessential attractions. Zoogoers can experience all 23 recognized species of crodilian in the Land of Crocodiles and come face-to-face with 15-foot, 3-inch, 1,250-pound saltwater crocodile Maximo, the largest animal at the Alligator Farm. Other exhibits include Red Ruffed Lemurs, Birds of Africa and Albino Alligators. Visitors can also experience Crocodile Crossing, a zipline that runs over the entire park, to get a one-of-a-kind view above the zoo. Go to alligatorfarm.com or call 904-824-3337.
