8th Annual Seminole War Commemoration Event: The Ximenez-Fatio House and Museum, 20 Aviles St., will commemorate the end of the 2nd Seminole War with exhibits and displays including a room that depicts what it would have looked like when a military officer during the period would have been a guest at the house. The house and museum are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $7 for adults; $15 for families and $5 for students, seniors and military. Matanzas River Sailing: St. Augustine Eco Tours will host a 2-hour tour of the Matanzas River on a 27-foot sailboat. Sights will include the historic bayfront, salt marshes and local wildlife. Seminole War Commemoration Re-Enactment: At 10:30 a.m., more than 50 re-enactors in period uniform will enter St. Augustine’s Marine Street to re-enact the 1842 parade that marked the end of the 2nd Seminole War. The commemoration ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the National Cemetery, 104 Marine St., with keynote remarks at 11:30 a.m. by Sherman Fleek, Command Historian at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Maria Valdez Dugger Spiral Series
