The Lightner Museum’s monthly curator tour will focus on “The Evolution of the Lightner Museum.” The tour will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 in the front lobby of the museum.
Conducted by curator Barry Myers, September’s tour will educaiton visitors on the many transformations the Lightner Museum has undergone from the time of the buildings formation as the Alcazar Hotel, built in 1888 by Henry Flagler, to its current evolution as the Lightner Museum, one of Florida’s treasured historic sites and fine art museums.
The tour is included in the admission price: $10 adults, $6 military and $5 students. Admission is free for St. Johns County residents and children under the age of 12.
