Compassionate St. Augustine receives diversity award

Compassionate St. Augustine is one of 17 organizations from across the state to be recognized and awarded funds by the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and the Citizens for Florida Arts, Inc. Presentation of the $1,000 award will take place at the Division of Cultural Affairs’ Convening Culture Conference in Fort Lauderdale on Feb. 2.

The Diversity & Inclusion Awards Program recognizes innovative and exceptional efforts that promote diversity in arts and cultural programming. The diversity in nominated programs represents efforts to broaden the reach of individuals engaged in cultural programming in Florida. Inclusion addresses the programs and organizational strategies that welcome and embrace the strengths and perspectives each person involved contributes.

“Compassionate St. Augustine is thankful and humbled by this recognition. This award permits and encourages CSA to further our mission, namely, to inspire, influence and grow a culture of compassion citywide through awareness, advocacy and action,” said James Vande Berg, President and Co-Founder of Compassionate St. Augustine.
